I know, it’s spring and in fact, almost summer. But I’m not talking about my lovely hooded warm winter coat, nope, I’m talking about my hair. Is anyone else shedding their hair, like some sort of animal moulting or is it just me? I keep expecting to wake up in the morning to find handfuls on my pillow.
I take multi-vitamins, eat pretty well (if you excuse that I undoubtedly eat far too much cheese and nearly as much chocolate) so I don’t think it is diet related. I do have hair straighteners which I use too often. My hair can be wild so it is a better result for me to run them over my hair than my poor attempt at blow drying – and who has the time to blow dry properly? I try to wash it every other day and sometimes let it dry naturally, so it has a siesta from all those heated appliances.
The plug hole is not my friend often with strands of my hair wrapped round it – much to my husband’s disgust if I don’t get to clear it before he has a shower! I am noticing more of those little grey/white sticky up hairs – which reminds me of that advert from years ago where the hair kept fighting to get out.
I know of post-natal hair loss, but that it’s usually the extra glossy hair that you gained whilst pregnant. I’m quite sure that I have regularly lost hair off my head since my son was born two years ago! I didn’t have some sort of bouffant hair or anything when I was pregnant
So, that was my little post about my hair. As the hairdressers have said to me “You have fine hair but lots of it” So perhaps I don’t need to worry and I am not going to be bald or grey before I am 40 x
